Summer Rain
Written on 2021-06-09
Summer rain and manna dew,
The trees in the forest born anew,
Chirping around are birds a few,
The sky with a rainbow drew,
Indoors some warm tea I brew,
While Earth the monsoons renew
The tiny sparrow merrily flew,
The poor passerine had no clue,
That the winds had turned wild as they blew,
That the once-blue skies had lost their hue,
The summer season had bid adieu,
The monsoon had come, yes that’s true.
