Eden

It’s the catharsis of fire, The scream of the pyre,
The breaking of the wire, That makes us realize,
Life was for us to characterize, To sing and dramatize,
Not to behold in silence, mute.
Wait not for the fire outside to awaken the flame inside,
For while the flame inside warms in colors of the rainbow,
The fire outside scorches in the fury of the Devil red.
Partake, then, of this bountiful Eden, while it lasts,
For if not you, now and here, then it’ll just be something in the past,
A memory not of passion and joy,
But rather a souvenir of days gone by.
